Christmas at South Bank

The Brief: Create a magical experience for visitors of all ages by turning Brisbane’s most iconic public precinct into a twinkling, festive environment to host various Christmas activations and entertainment, capturing the magic and spirit of Christmas for both young and old.

Our Scope: Collaboration with other external contractors to assist in installation and dismantle of key decorative and theming elements throughout South Bank Parklands for a four-week Christmas program. Elements included specially designed archways, feature sets, two photo opportunities (theming and construction), custom park furniture and prominent festive-styled stages to host Christmas activities and performances.

Notable Outcomes: Work was carried out in busy, outdoor public spaces in a manner that considered the complexities of the site, maintained public safety, and minimised disruptions to regular Parklands access and operations. Planning incorporated strategies to minimise impact of inclement weather conditions on theming installations.
